So I got a new FULLTIME job :) I'm so excited! It's really close to home I know the manager well enough and it seems like it'll be easy work overall once I understand their expectations on each shift :P
So since I'm excited i wanted to have a giveaway! The prize? FIVE people will win a 100 csc card :) Other people may get other prizes like plushies or foods... I really don't have much else to offer XD
So all that needs to happen is post about jobs. Working them, stories from them, looking for them, friends/ families stories from their jobs whatever. After awhile I'll call it quits then do a random number generator from post 2-?? and the 5 people whose post # comes up will be the winners.
So yeah that's it really :P Any of you guys wanna do this or know anyone please ping em ^^
Winners of 100 csc cards are: sending soon ^^

(like your username by the way) Congrats on your FULL TIME JOB!!! :D I'm not sure where you live, but just the economy nowadays, it's hard to get a decent job. But awesome! I hope you'll like/love it! :)
I have 3 non official jobs, but I'm fresh out of high school and going to community college part time, so what do you expect? xD I clean a salon once a week, babysit a toddler at least once a week, and work part time at my parent's restaurant Thursday evenings to Sunday evenings.
Whoot!!
I just moved back to my hometown in Oct after getting a fulltime job in my degree, took me almost 4 years to get back, but i did it

Congrats!
One of my friends work in a restaurant and this lady asked her what sauce her HONEY chicken was. She face-palmed so hard hehe

Thanks guys I'm pretty stoked! And found it by pure luck too! The manager is someone i've known for awhile so we are friends on FB, saw her post about needing help and went for it :P
That's not to say job hunting sites WEREN'T working, they just get tough to find a job after you get so many years of experiences but not enough of the upper manager stuff XD
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
Congrats on the job, hon! My job sucks. Started out great, 35+ hours a week now I get 0. Good luck hon! :D
Congrats! It's exciting to know you aced an interview and got the job!
I wanted to be an artist for video games. It was a big dream of mine shortly when I got into college. But I'm working part time in the fitting room at a TJ Maxx. My dream is pretty much shot.
Congrats money coming in is always great. I work at Samsonite we deal with Luggage mostly and we were running a large order of 2 pieces today so I volunteered to load the belt so the guys could drop the whole order of like 350. We had it done within and hour, Well later at the end of the day the 2 guys were taking too long cutting and dumping the boxes so i could move them to Leo and i said the hell with it and started doing it myself and they started throwing a fit lol Women arent supposed to be in the pit but I told them I got tired of looking like i wasnt doing any work.

Story about a job eh? Well, I do home health care taking care of the elderly. They have problems such as Dementia and Alzheimer's. I took care of one woman, a Grandmother of a friend of my mom's. Anyway I was cleaning her after a BM (bowel movement) and we had this interesting conversation.
Grammy: What are you doing? Me: What do you think I am doing Grammy? (meanwhile wiping her bum) Grammy: I know what your doing! Me: Oh? What is that? Grammy: Being a smartass.
Oh yes. And CONGRATS! xD
xD Got to love some of these characters at time.
There is my story :3

Yay, congrats on the job! :D My last 2 have been seasonal. I'm hoping for a long-term part-time job while I'm in school, but I haven't had much luck so far
Oooh jobs. I work at a hotel and it's pretty okay! I do laundry now which is intense work for a shitty amount of pay, but it gets the bills paid so I can't really complain! What is your job? What will you be doing? Congrats, by the way!

YAY congrats! I hope I can be as lucky... I'm finishing up my Masters degree right now and then looking for work! is scared I've had... 1 semi-full time job but it was only about 3 months long but then they liked me enough to put me on a 1 year contract for random stuff they needed to get done. Another "job" I got was actually a scholarship. And that's about it has very little work experience. My pet peeve is the whole "You must have _____ experience to get this job" but HOW DO YOU GET EXPERIENCE IN THE FIRST PLACE IF THEY DON'T GIVE YOU A CHANCE? Okay //end rant

congrats boo. Jobs make for money to spend on online sites shot
Well the coolest story I have, I think, regarding a job...is how I landed into the graphic design corporate world. I was working my poor little voice off as a market research cold caller, calling insurance company clients about their satisfaction. And stuff. Good times. Then they posted a notice saying they were looking for a junior editor. So on a whim, I decided to take the test with a bunch of other folks. Wouldn't ya know, they decided to give me a job editing satisfaction surveys before they went out to the masses. After doing that for a while, and doing minor graphic editing jobs for them here and there, they finally promoted me to Jr. Graphic Designer. Which...entailed just about the exact same thing I had been doing, just a tiny bit more money. :D
SO yeah. Here we are now ;)
HEY ME TOO!! Congrats!!!
I actually already had the job, just needed to get to a point where I'd have to be in full time, lol.
Wow, congrats hun!!! I'm still looking for a job myself, I hope something comes up soon. :) I'm very happy for you, it's really hard to find a job nowadays.
Congrats on your job! I've worked for a movie theater for around 4-5 years now. The only thing I can really say about it is that it's really changed the way I've treated people in the service industry, ESPECIALLY those who prepare my food (ahem). A lot of people that I deal with tend to forget that the people who sell your ticket, who make your popcorn, who clean up after you when you leave - we're all people too. We all have lives that we go to after work. But when you're at work, you're at the mercy of rude, selfish, and pure awful customers. I think the worst people emerge when there's a company policy that you can't work around. For example: my theater changed owners a year ago, and people still try to use passes or coupons for the other theater, which we can't take since we've been bought out by a new owner. And people, for some reason, yell at you like it's your fault that you can't take their passes. Every time this happens I want to tell them "Yes. You're right. You caught me, it was actually ME - the minimum wage worker sitting here selling you your ticket - that changed the policy. And you know what? I changed it just for YOU so that YOU can't use your passes anymore." People always seem to forget how a business works when they hear the word "no", that orders come from higher up and that yelling at the poor, underpaid, overworked, minimum wage worker in front of you will not change anything. Whoops, I kind of rambled off there... x) I have plenty of stories if anyone is interested in hearing them.
I'll be your church where you pray so I can heal you.
I'll be your lover where you lay so I can feel you.
I'll be your sunlight in your day so I can see you.
Congratulations! My first "job" was a research internship at the university. I worked as a research assistant in laboratory medicine and pathology. It was pretty fun, but I lost contact with the professor I worked under. :( I also worked in retail this past summer haha - I guess that's more of an actual job.
Lol my first job was at an a plus. It's a gas station. I worked there for a few months, mainly weekends. After my first weekend in training, I was scheduled to work a late shift all alone. I did those for a few weeks and eventually quit because it was too stressful. When I applied for another job and wrote in the contact info, I got a call from my prospective new manager. They had no record of me working there. Apparently I pissed off the manager. Haha. Still makes me giggle to this day.
